Another Jubilee on the horizon for the Queen’s Shallop

Historic Royal Palaces marked the 500th anniversary of King Henry VIII’s coronation (24 June 1509) with a Tudor river pageant rowing from the Tower of London up the River Thames to Hampton Court Palace. Henry VIII’s Coronation weekend celebrations will be the highlight event in Historic Royal Palaces’ year-long celebrations marking the 500th anniversary of the monarch’s accession to the throne.

“Jubilant” will be taking part in a celebration of Her Majesty The Queen’s 70 years on the throne as part of the Totally Thames Festival on 24th September.

This will be the third Royal Jubilee with “Jubilant” taking part in both the 2002 Golden and 2012 Diamond Jubilees.

Totally Thames is an annual season of unique, diverse and accessible arts and culture throughout the month of September with activity taking place on, beneath, and along the River Thames.
